User Charge Rates and Billing Information

Salt Creek Sanitary District billing department generates Villa Park residential, industrial and commercial wastewater user bills based on water meter readings provided by the Village of Villa Park.


Our current “User Rate” is $7.00 per one thousand gallons of water used, plus a $10.00 capital improvement and processing charge. Bills are mailed out on a quarterly basis and due 18 days after the billing date which is posted on your Regular bill.

Payments

When submitting your payment via mail or one of the following locations please return the bottom portion of your bill along with your payment. Payments must be received in office by the due date. If payment made by mail please allow 7 days for mailing.

  • For your convenience a Drop Box is located in the parking lot of the Village of Villa Park. Please do not place cash in the drop box. No postage necessary. Payments are picked up by 8:00 a.m. daily.

By paying online, mobile or phone:

• There is NO FEE for checking/savings payments; 3.00% (+50¢ if payment is less than $100) is applied to credit/debit card payments.

• You can pay immediately, schedule a payment or set up Auto-Pay for the amount of your bill. (Auto-pays must be set up online.)

• You can print receipts, view past payments, see status of payments, stop Auto-Pay by going online.

LATE PAYMENTS

Our billing system automatically generates a penalty bill for any regular quarterly bill not paid by the due date and is subject to a 10% late fee. Failure to receive a bill does not exempt customers from penalties. Every attempt will be taken to collect on delinquent accounts via: collection letters, water termination, liens recorded against the property or legal action.

CANCELLING SERVICE

If you are planning on moving from your residence please contact your water provider, Village of Villa Park (1-630-592-6067) or Illinois American Water (1-800-538-1125), to arrange for a final meter reading. Once the final meter read has been taken you will receive a termination statement showing any charges due. If you are selling your home, your attorney should contact our office at 630-832-3637 and request a closing letter to be issued stating charges due Salt Creek Sanitary District through your closing date.
